The silicon sleeve is used to ensure a water proof connection between the red and black electrical male connectors of the Prolub and the corresponding females on the seismic module. If this electrical connection is not water proof, the seismic equipment will not communicate with the acquisiton system at surface and also DMT measurements will not be possible (if a blade is connected to the seismic module).

Important Note: The sleeves must be visually inspected before starting penetration in each test location. If the sleeves exhibit any cut or loose their flexibility (dirt and heat tend to dry and stiffen the silicon of the sleeve), they must be replaced.
