The external trigger with a single shock sensor connects to the Control Unit and to the Add-on Acquisiton Unit. It is used to detect the instant in which a seismic wave is generated from a wave source (hammer).

Important Note: When recording both shear and compression waves, generally the wave sources are different. In this case, the External Trigger with two shock sensors is required.
