This anvil is used in combination with a hammer for the generation of the shear wave. To be effective, the anvil must be deployed according to specific instructions that are discussed in detail during the training on the SDMT equipment.

Important Note: If the anvil is not deployed correctly, the shear wave may be not generated properly and the interpretation of the  velocity Vs may be incorrect or not available.
