The Sciacca DMT set of adaptors is used to advance the DMT blade in the soil with a drill rig and penetration rods. The  set is composed of three parts:  (1) One upper adaptor connecting the drill rods (ɸ 76 mm, 2-3/8 API regular) to the penetration rods (ɸext 50 mm) (2) One slotted adaptor (ɸext 50 mm) for lateral exit of the cable (3) One lower adaptor connecting the penetration rods (ɸext 50 mm) to the DMT blade.
