About Dmt Elab

Dmt Elab is a Windows program for input and elaboration of Dmt data. 

It may be installed on any Windows platform (95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP).

Microsoft Word is necessary for obtaining printable reports (up to version 2.2.6 Word 2000 is  necessary, from 2.3.0 onwards, Word '97 is sufficient). 

Dmt Elab requires a USB hardware key provided with the installation CD. The hardware key supports all subsequent updates.

Input The guided input checks the inserted data, creates a Diagnostic Data Draft and signals possible anomalies. It generates *.dat files.

Elaboration The user selects a group from the *.dat files in memory. As soon as the group is selected, the user can visualize, for the chosen group (see EXAMPLES):

  1. The diagrams in the "classic" format
  2. The tabular outputs
  3. Superimposed diagrams
  4. Cross Section Diagrams of the parameters of interest.
A key feature of Dmt Elab is "Autoreport". It generates, without user's intervention, a Word doc Report, including the "classic" results plus a "suitable" selection of superimposed results, cross sections etc. (the scales are chosen automatically).

If wished, the user can generate partial personalized Word doc outputs and add/ replace them in the Report. Dmt Elab can also generate the *.uni files used for settlements and a "catalogue" of the *.dat files. 

Units can be Metric or SI.

Supports A4 and Letter (USA) paper format.
